Martin Mannion

Martin Mannion is a Chartered Engineer, a Civil Engineering graduate of University College Dublin, with some 29 years experience of maritime engineering worldwide, particularly port planning and strategic advice - covering container terminals, oil and gas facilities, ferry terminals, fishery harbours, marinas and general cargo facilities. He is currently responsible for AECOM’s Port team across Europe, Middle East, India and Africa, with circa 500 specialist maritime staff. He was recently responsible for the Jebel Ali Port Master Plan 2015-2040 United Arab Emirates for Dubai Ports World, previous experience includes Port of Dover Master Plan UK, the new Moubarak Al Kabeer Port Development in Kuwait for MPA, London Gateway Container Terminal Design UK for Laing O’Rourke-Dredging International JV, Golden Pass LNG Texas USA for Weeks Marine / ExxonMobil, PSA Rodman Pier Phase 2 Panama and Sri Lanka Fishery Harbours. Martin has worked from office bases in the UK, USA and Hong Kong on a wide range of marine challenges in some 40 countries, with achievements such as setting up a new marine team in Houston (2005-2009) followed by growing / strengthening the AECOM (formerly Scott Wilson) ports team over the last six years. He is adaptable and enjoys the mix of technical delivery, client liason,  operational and staff management and in his spare time, is a keen runner.
